1. Am I Eligible for a payment ?
Eligible people are those currently living, or the estate of a person

and were therefore entitled to receive free publicly funded residential
care,
but were charged what are known as public long stay charges – essentially
a shelter and maintenance charge – up until 9 December 2004.
In some
cases, wrongly charged people will include publicly funded patients
who resided in contract beds in private nursing homes.
